ONE DAY NGAMBA ISLAND EXCURSION
Located about 23Km off Entebbe town ion the islands of Lake Victoria, Ngamba Island is a home to the orphaned and homeless chimpanzees that were confiscated from illegal animal traders and poachers. The 100 acre forested Island offers visitors an excellent encounter with man’s closest relatives the chimpanzee as well as other activities such as forest walks and birding, sports fishing and visiting the local communities.
Your safari guide will pick you at your residence/ hotel in the morning and thereafter transfer you to waterfront resort Entebbe for a boat cruise to Ngamba Island. During the boat cruise, you may encounter different water birds such as the pink backed pelicans, some water animals like the spotted necked otters as well as the local fishermen carrying out their activities.
You will arrive in the island in time to catch up with the chimpanzee in their feeding time; you will have an encounter with these apes as they enjoy their meal. You may also participate in other activities such as forest walks and birding. Later in the evening, you will return back to Entebbe and your safari guide will transfer you to your hotel/ residence.
